Harem life with the hypnosis app I got Volume 3 Chapter 2 part 1

Chapter 2: Self-hypnosis… What’s Wrong With Me, Huh?

A few days had passed since that miracle—no, that nightmare-like day when not just me but everyone shared the same dream.

While Matsuri and the others under hypnosis had confessed everything, I couldn’t exactly confront the real Matsuri about it. Thankfully, the aftermath wasn’t as messy as I’d feared.

“………………”

After breakfast, as I brushed my teeth at the sink, a random thought crossed my mind:

“Hypnosis… does it work on me?”

I mean, obviously not, right? But half-jokingly, I stared at my reflection in the mirror and activated my partner’s power.

“Hmm… ‘Spend today acting like the world’s most handsome guy!’”

Come on, I wasn’t about to give myself some ridiculous command like streaking naked—like what I’d made Matsuri’s ex do. This was safer. Probably. At least nothing weird should happen with a command like this.

“……………”

I used my partner’s power on my reflection, but nothing changed.

“The hypnosis should be working…”

I’d followed the same steps as when using it on Matsuri and the others, and my partner was activated. But since I was still fully conscious, it clearly wasn’t working. Guess even a cheat-like power has its limits—self-hypnosis is just plain stupid.

“Ah well. Time for school—”

…Huh?

The moment I thought that, a strange sensation washed over me. Like I’d been cut off from the world, my feet no longer touching the ground.

“Heh. Let’s go.”

That voice in my ears was mine—but it sounded so cool, so effortlessly suave, it made my back tingle.

That was my last thought before everything went dark.

“Hey Matsuri, you okay now?”

“Huh? With what?”

“You know, how you were all jittery the other day?”

“…Oh, that.”

I let out a dry laugh at Ricchan’s words.

Her “jittery” comment was about the day I dreamed of spoiling Kai-kun rotten.

Even though I knew it was just a dream, the moment I saw him in real life, the memories flooded back, and I couldn’t act normal around him.

(Who’d have thought Saika and Emu-chan saw the same dream…?)

Turns out, Saika and Emu-chan had told me about it too.

The Kai-kun in our dreams was way more aggressive, doing all sorts of embarrassing things—not that I’d complain—and we happily went along with whatever he asked. Because we wanted to make him happy.

“Ehehe… ♪”

“Yikes, she’s hopeless.”

But but but!

Kai-kun’s so kind, the hero who saved me—who even saved Saika and Emu-chan!

And, well… I really like him!

So if that guy—even if it was just a dream—got all bold, groping and sucking on my chest, of course I’d get flustered!

And that goofy, lust-drunk face of his was adorable, totally different from his usual cool self—but he still never forgot to care about us, and ugh, it just makes my heart race!

“…That’s just the best.”

“What is?”

“Shut up.”

“That’s so mean?!”

Ricchan pouted, swinging her twin tails, but interrupting someone’s happy delusions is just rude.

Still… Kai-kun’s late today.

He usually gets to school earlier, but the person I most want to see still isn’t here. Did something happen?

“Sigh…”

“Now you’re sighing?! If you’re gonna ignore me, I’m groping those big boobs of yours!”

“…Sigh.”

“Seriously?! You’re fine with it?!”

Too gloomy to care.

As Ricchan started pawing at my chest, I kept my eyes glued to the classroom door—until, finally, Kai-kun appeared.

“Ah—!”

I couldn’t help but gasp. I’d been dying to see him.

Just talking to him makes me happy. Just being near him is comforting. So I stood up the moment he entered—

…But something felt off.

“…?”

It was definitely Kai-kun walking in, bag slung over his shoulder like always… but something was different. What was this weird feeling?

“Mukai-kun… Endou-kun… what’s wrong?”

Kai-kun’s best friends, Mukai and Endou, were staring at him suspiciously before quickly backing off. Curious, I headed over to them first.

“Morning, Mukai-kun, Endou-kun.”

“Morning, Aisaka.”

“O-oh, morning…”

Their weird behavior was definitely about Kai-kun.

“Did something happen with Kai-kun?”

“Uh… ‘Did something happen’ is putting it lightly.”

“I dunno… I sure as hell don’t get it.”

“??”

They told me to ask him myself if I was curious, so I nodded—I’d planned to anyway.

I approached Kai-kun as he pulled out his textbook.

“Kai-kun… good morning?”

“Ah, good morning, Matsuri.”

“Eek?!”

When I timidly greeted him, Kai-kun flashed me a dazzling smile.

Not just his perfect front teeth glinting—it was like stars sparkled around him. What was this shoujo-manga-level handsome aura?!

“Matsuri? Something wrong?”

“Ehh?! N-no, nothing! More importantly, Kai-kun?”

“What is it?”

“Are you… feeling okay?”

Did I just ask if he’s ‘okay’ out of nowhere?!

I immediately regretted my bluntness, but Kai-kun just chuckled, not seeming bothered.

“Around a cute girl like you, I might act a little strange. If we were alone, I’d be tempted to reach out—you’re that captivating.”

“K-Kai-kun…?!”

No no no!

This is wrong! Kai-kun would never say something like—well, okay, I’d be thrilled if he did, but the real Kai-kun doesn’t talk like this!

“Your face is red… are you sick?”

“Hyah?! U-um…”

His cool hand pressed against my burning cheek.

The world around me faded. My vision locked onto him, his voice the only thing I could hear.

“Could it be… you’re blushing?”

“Th-that’s… of course I am!”

“My bad. But that shy look is cute too. I love your usual cheerful self just as much.”

“Eek?!”

“I always feel this way, but wanting to keep that side of you all to myself… maybe I’m just selfish.”

“GAH?!”

Normally, I’d laugh off cheesy lines like this.

But because it was Kai-kun, they stabbed straight into my heart. My legs gave out, and I plopped onto the floor.

(Wh-wh-wh-what the hell is happening?!!)

This isn’t Kai-kun!

…Except it was him. I had no clue what was going on, but no wonder Mukai and the others looked exhausted.

“S-sorry! I’m fine!”

“I see… tell me if anything’s wrong. I want to be there for you.”

“Y-yes…!!”

His aura—his handsome aura—is too strong!

And it wasn’t just his words. He wasn’t joking around—he felt genuinely serious, which made my heart pound even harder.

“H-hey… wanna hang out after school?”

“Sure. I’ll keep my schedule open for you.”

“Thank you!”

Seizing the moment, I internally fist-pumped at scoring a date.

I stepped back from Kai-kun, but something was definitely off about him today. If anything happened, I needed to watch over him so I could help!

“What was that?”

“Nothing.”

“It was not nothing!”

“Shut up, Ricchan.”

And so, my day of babysitting (and ogling) Kai-kun began.

▼▽

That day, Kai was… different.

Not just with Matsuri—his unnatural aura persisted all day.

First, during first-period math:

“Masaki, solve this problem.”

“Understood.”

His voice was smooth.

Most students barely paid attention when someone got called on, so Kai standing up drew little reaction.

Teacher asks, student answers—simple.

(Kai-kun… even his voice is different.)

(What the hell happened to him…?)

(This isn’t just showing off…)

Matsuri, Akira, and Shougo—the three who’d noticed Kai’s odd behavior—watched intently as he walked to the board.

Kai, oblivious to their stares, solved the problem effortlessly.

It was new material, but he nailed it. the teacher was satisfied that he had solved it well.

“Perfect answer. You’ve already mastered today’s formula.”

“Only because of your teaching. Meeting an educator like you is my greatest fortune.”

“Masaki… you…!”

The teacher, moved, patted Kai’s head.

It should’ve been a heartwarming teacher-student moment… but instead, the class stared in shock at Kai’s disgustingly smooth lines.

“Huh… What’s this?”

“Was Masaki always like that?”

“Getting along with Aisaka is weird… Wait, I’m actually jealous, damn it!”

Though Kai gets plenty of harsh comments, none go too far beyond teasing.

The back-and-forth between Kai and the teacher unfolds like this, and it seems far from over.

“Alright, can you solve this problem? If you don’t understand anything, feel free to ask—we’ll work through it together.”

“No, I’m totally fine. Like I said, it’s all thanks to your teaching. So, how about this answer?”

“Mm, correct! Wow, what’s gotten into you today, Masaki? You’re on fire!”

“Haha, how many times do I have to say it? It’s your teaching, sensei.”

“Expect great things from your math grade this semester!”
