In the secondary gymnasium of the special school building—a place that was free to use upon request but rarely frequented—
we were running, Saionji and I.
Saionji was running ahead of me, though at a pace closer to a brisk walk… Strange. Considering the muscle mass in her thighs and buttocks, she should be able to run much faster. Is it because of her heavy chest?
“Huff, huff… Th-this is exhausting… Have we run a kilometer yet…?”
“Only 300 meters so far.”
“What…?”
Her pace slowed even more, and her back drew closer to me. She looked like she could collapse any moment.
“Hang in there, just a little more.”
“Huff, huff… Please, support my back…”
I gently supported her back, hoping it would make it a bit easier for her. Though touching a girl’s body made me uncomfortable, Saionji didn’t seem to mind.
Somehow, we managed to finish the kilometer…
“I’m… gonna die…”
“Humans don’t die from this much. But you really aren’t good at exercising, are you, Saionji?”
“Ugh, I used to have more stamina. I’ve become so weak from neglecting my body.”
“Well, you asked me to help you train for the sports festival. We still have time, so let’s practice hard.”
Saionji nodded firmly. Her prominent chest moved in sync. Her uniquely shaped gym uniform seemed very tight.
Her body contours were very evident… Somehow, I felt like Hana might get angry at me for this…
Despite her complaints, she wasn’t out of breath.
“Saionji, you don’t lack stamina. You must have some from working in the entertainment industry. But unfamiliar exercise is tough. If you keep at it every day, you’ll improve.”

I demonstrated push-ups, sit-ups, high knees, and jump squats in a smooth sequence. This should be doable for Saionji.
“Like this. …Saionji? What’s wrong?”
“Huh? N-nothing, I wasn’t staring! I wasn’t distracted by your muscles! Do it more powerfully next time!”
“Wh-why are you holding your phone? Wait, isn’t this supposed to be your training?”
“If you do it one more time, I’ll do it too.”
Though I wasn’t entirely convinced, I repeated the circuit.
“Great, that’s great! Nice bulk! Can I ride on your back while you do push-ups?”
At that moment, a voice called out from the gym entrance.
“Of course not, Nozomi! And that gym uniform is way too revealing!”
“Oh, Haru Tanaka! This is… different. I just wanted to have fun exercising with Toudou, I wasn’t planning on getting close during stretches or anything! This is youth! This is the youth I’ve been seeking!”
Tanaka stood at the entrance with arms crossed, exuding an aura of strength…
“Fine, I guess. I’ll join the training too! By the way, Nozomi, you did dance, so you must have some stamina. Toudou, let’s get serious!”
“Got it. Let’s change the mode. By the time the sports festival comes, Saionji will be better than the sports club members.”
“Huh? W-wait a minute!?”
“Hehe, let’s practice with some music!”
In the gym after school, we trained together to the tune of popular music. This must be what youth is. Tanaka’s smile was dazzling. Despite her complaints, Saionji seemed to be enjoying herself too. She really can move…
Saionji, who had no time for herself due to her career, genuinely wanted to experience youth. There was no lie in her words. So, I will give my all in response.
For most people, this might just be an ordinary time. But for me, it’s an unforgettable period of youth.
