*** Wilutia-Lunache ***
Lately, disasters have been occurring one after another.
My office was ransacked, my car broke down, strange letters and emails kept arriving, and so on.
The decisive event was the malfunction of my private shuttle today, which set off a chain of incidents.
It has been a year since I hired James, who passed the Councilor’s aide examination and is the son of Elmeda-Hanskit, one of my supporters, at Mrs. Hanskit’s request.
He is older than me and capable at his job, but for some reason, he doesn’t like me.
He constantly tries to enter my private room under some pretext or another. Sometimes he arbitrarily cancels my appointments, while at other times he schedules appointments with people I don’t need to meet. He seems to regard me as an object of worship and tries to force that on others. More than anything, as a Councilor’s aide, he has been observed acting arrogantly toward various people, using his position as a shield.
That man caused a lot of trouble.
There was a malfunction with the private ship provided to Councilors, so we tried to use a civilian passenger ship instead. But he unreasonably insisted on chartering the whole ship just five minutes before departure time.
At that point, the passenger ship had finished boarding all passengers, completed all necessary checks, and was just waiting for departure clearance.
Nevertheless, he ordered that all the passengers disembark.
Naturally, the staff was shocked and argued that it was impossible.
Then he threatened them, arbitrarily invoking my name:
“You dare defy the wishes of Galaxy Republic Councilor Wilutia-Lunache?!”
threatening the officials in my name without my permission.
I had Sarah, who has been my attendant since childhood, pull him away and apologize to the staff before hurriedly leaving.
When I warned him, he showed not a shred of remorse:
“That’s only natural! Those people who disobeyed were the ones in the wrong!”
he said, showing no sign of remorse.
The next flight was also chartered in the same way, He reluctantly agreed when I suggested chartering a cargo passenger ship instead of trying to monopolize the next flight.
However, his method of chartering was also forceful, rather than politely requesting a ship bound for Voldar.
Sarah and I arrived at the docking bay with sighs, and a pristine white cargo ship was docked there.
As I was admiring how clean it looked, the owner approached and was promptly accosted by the aide, James.
The moment I saw the ship’s owner, I almost cried out.
The owner/captain was none other than Shaun-Lyatt.
He was in the same class as me from 7th to 9th grade.
Moreover, in 7th grade, Lyatt saved me from being kidnapped.
Since then, he became my inspiration.
Lyatt’s ship, or rather, Mr. Lyatt’s ship looked clean and sanitary – a top-rated cargo passenger vessel.
Yet the aide kept finding fault with it.
On top of that, I was appalled when he tried to disregard the spaceport rules and maritime laws.
Well, I was quite interested in seeing Mr. Lyatt’s private quarters…
The tea and snacks he served were the popular cookies from the cultural festival, nostalgic and even more delicious than before.
The dinner was also wonderful, with dishes that seemed too good for a cargo passenger ship lining the table.
But that feeling of delight kept being ruined by the aide.
Despite eating the most cookies and even getting seconds on the meal, he rudely called it flavorless and dubious.
To make matters worse, he treated Sarah, my attendant since childhood, like his own servant and even made physical demands of her – that’s completely unforgivable.
If not for Mrs. Hanskit’s request, I would have fired him immediately.
Mrs. Hanskit is a woman of character, a good understander of mine, and one of my supporters, so I can’t treat her dismissively.
Therefore, I decided to go to bed early.
I invited Sarah to join me, but she declined, saying she needed to keep an eye on the aide to prevent him from coming to my room.
She said he had passed out drunk from the alcohol loaded onto Mr. Shaun’s ship, so it would be fine. But just in case, she might need to call on Mr. Lyatt for help, which is why she insisted.
The next day,
a decisive incident occurred.
It was triggered by the appearance of a former cargo transporter turned pirate.
While the pirates themselves were eventually captured by the Republic Defense Force fleet without incident, during the chaos, the aide said something he should never have said as a Councilor’s aide.
Toward Lyatt, a Sumerian, he uttered the slur “snail” – clearly discriminatory language.
I instinctively struck his cheek.
As a Galaxy Republic Councilor and a sensible person, more than anything, I could not hold back when my beloved was insulted.
He was dumbfounded for a moment.
But the next instant,
for some reason, he assaulted Lyatt, who was gripping the ship’s controls.
If Lyatt could no longer pilot, there would be nothing we could do.
Of course, neither I nor Sarah can operate a spacecraft.
However, Sarah prevented that.
She used the stun gun concealed in her arm to render him unconscious.
Now, finally, I can talk properly with Lyatt.

With the arrival of the Galaxy Republic Defense Force, the Idiot Triplets a.k.a. the “Ghazn Brothers” were swiftly apprehended.
Orlangea and Voldar are quite close, so committing piracy between them is practically suicidal.
Those guys were just that reckless and thoughtless.
Then I received a communication from the commander of the cavalry Defense Fleet.
[This is Galaxy Republic Defense Force Main Fleet Commander and Flagship Captain, Rear Admiral Reinhardt-Steinberger. You are the one who reported the incident, correct?]
As expected, it was Rear Admiral Steinberger.
That biggest ship looks familiar to me.
“Thank you, Vice Admiral. It’s been a while.”
I addressed him in a friendly manner, but the Vice Admiral had a puzzled look on his face.
[“Pardon me, but where have we met before?”]
This wasn’t because the Vice Admiral was suffering from early-onset dementia or anything.
As evidence of that, when I transformed into a woman,
“You rescued me before, and I met you several times during the subsequent trial as well.”
[“Ah! You’re Lyatt san! My apologies, I should not have forgotten!”]
He remembered immediately.
“Since this is only the second time meeting me in my male form, it’s understandable you didn’t recognize me.”
“Are you acquainted with each other?”
“There was an incident involving the military previously.”
“Ah yes, the scandal involving the son of a high-ranking military official.”
As a witness in the trial regarding the misbehavior of those foolish brats, I had been instructed to remain in female form during the hearings, so I stayed that way the whole time. The only time I reverted to male was for identification purposes.
So it’s excusable that he didn’t remember me.
That’s when someone who didn’t need to wake up, woke up.
“Ugh…damn! What happened?”
[We apprehended the pirates.]
Before I – Sarah – the Councilor could explain, the Vice Admiral gave the explanation first.
But that turned out to be a bad move.
“The Defense Forces? I see! You were deployed due to the crisis involving Master Lunache!”
The aide approached the Vice Admiral’s monitor and clearly made a mocking expression.
“You there! We’ll have Master Lunache board your ship shortly, so prepare the VIP quarters! And have the captain come to greet him! Master Lunache will be gracing your ship with his presence, so don’t be discourteous. Also, let me get your name and rank. I’d like to give your superior officer, the captain, a good evaluation if you’d like.”
He barked orders as usual.
He probably thought the polite, young-looking Vice Admiral was just an officer of some lower rank.
Normally one would be irritated, but the Vice Admiral calmly answered the question without changing his expression.
[I am Vice Admiral Reinhard von Steinberger, commander of the main fleet of the Galactic Republic Defense Forces and captain of the flagship Cassinart.]
He even gave a crisp salute and displayed a 3D holographic ID from his wrist terminal.
It was the aide who was taken aback by this revelation instead.
“My…My apologies, Vice Admiral!”
It seems even he can’t talk big to a flag officer.
I couldn’t help but admire the difference in dignity between the two elite young men.
“In any case! Allow us to board your ship. With your ship, we should arrive at Voldar by today, and there shouldn’t be any safety issues either.”
The aide re-stated his demand to the Vice Admiral.
[That’s possible.]
“Excellent♪ Come now Master Lunache, let us move to that ship. We should disembark from this [Sluggish] vessel at once.”
Delighted by the Vice Admiral’s answer, he gave a courteous bow to the Councilor.
I have to admire him being able to say something like that despite being so thoroughly rejected.
And as he looked around to glare at me, what he saw was me still in female form.
Seeing me like that, the aide audibly clicked his tongue in annoyance.
“You Snail fool! Why didn’t you appear in female form from the start! I would have enjoyed myself with you then! You’ll regret not letting me have my fun!”
For a moment, I didn’t understand what the aide was talking about.
But basically, he was saying:
[If I didn’t know you were a Snail person, I would have given you the honor of sharing a bed with me.]
That seems to be what he meant.
Of course, the two others present seemed to understand as well, giving him cold looks.
As the connecting corridor from their ship was linked up, the Vice Admiral and a young woman came to greet us.
“Welcome aboard the battleship [Cassinart]. Please allow me to escort you to the VIP quarters. Lieutenant Maria Hallace, please show these three to the VIP quarters.”
“This way, please.”
The female officer motioned for the three of us to enter.
However,
“I have something to discuss with Mr. Shaun and Mr. Steinberger, so please go on ahead.”
“I’ll have your luggage brought later.”
It seems the Councilor and Sarah had some business with the Vice Admiral and me, so they told the aide to go first.
“Very well, I shall go ahead then.”
Saying that, the aide foisted his luggage onto the female officer.
