Everyone at the table leaned in to listen to Sam’s words.

“Seriously? Sam, you should tell us stuff like that sooner.”
Tony chided him like a big brother,
but Sam brushed it off nonchalantly.
“Also, the spaceport on Planet Lanrei is being demolished due to aging, and contracts for transporting scrap and materials will be issued next month. But a petition has been sent from the preservation society, so it’s unclear what will happen for now.”
The spaceport on Planet Lanrei is famous even within the Republic as an antique, and there were long-standing rumors about when it would be demolished.
“You really find unreported news well.”

Sam thumped his chest proudly in response to the Gardite old man’s admiring words.
“And for the final scoop…”

As the Gardite old man said, those with such ideologies had their power stripped after the last war, but some who can’t forget their former glory have resorted to piracy.
“So they’ve crossed borders to become pirates. Seems wise to stay away from them.”
“Unfortunately I couldn’t get any more information than that.”
Sam looked apologetic, but this was actually quite important information.
For them, raiding isn’t [criminal looting] but more like [punishing those who neglected their tribute duty to the nobles].

Sam rudely pressed me while breathing heavily.
