“Oh, I didn’t know Shirakawa-chan had a younger brother.”
“That’s surprising……. She never talked about her private life at all.”
Alpha-chan suddenly stands up from the bed.
Moving with surprising agility unlike her usual self, she mutters something in a daze.

“What’s wrong, Alpha-chan?”

I’m glad that I was able to release Volume 2 after the gap since Volume 1.
I’m honestly a bit nervous, thinking that some of you might have thought, “He’s not even a black knight anymore!?” upon your first impression after reading.
In the previous work, the story was about the protagonist Katsumi, who had an unfortunate past and emotional scars, becoming more positive under the influence of the three girls Akane, Kirara, and Aoi. However, Volume 2 takes a completely different turn, focusing on the amnesiac Katsumi, now known as Shirakawa Katsuki.
Katsuki, who doesn’t remember his unfortunate past due to memory loss, can be said to represent how he might have grown up with his original personality intact. He shows a stronger side as an honest and kind young man.
Guided by a mysterious voice, Ruin, he is once again drawn into the whirlpool of battle, and through these battles, he becomes involved with the three Justice Crusaders again.
In the newly added scenes for Volume 2, I focused on providing different perspectives, developments, and battle descriptions that differ from the web version. I believe I was able to effectively depict Katsuki’s struggles with his memory loss and the eerie presence of the mysterious entity speaking to him, especially in the scene where he encounters Kirara from Katsuki’s perspective. I hope you enjoyed these aspects.
Also, I’m very pleased that Ruin’s appearance could be revealed as an illustration for the first time.
Ruin, drawn by Ginka-sama, is a mysterious and unfathomably beautiful woman, and I’m overwhelmed with emotion as I had been eagerly awaiting her debut.
In addition to her, they also drew wonderful character designs for Alpha, NaoNao, and the café master, which are also must-sees.
While this work is full of typical hero story tropes that I thoroughly enjoy, when I’m actually writing, I have fun thinking about “what kind of battle should I describe” or “what kind of abilities should the enemy have.”
The bulletin board parts were challenging to write, as I had to subtly change the tone and writing style to make it seem like different people were writing, rather than a single person. However, these bulletin board sections are quite important as they depict how the general public views and evaluates the characters in the story.
