[Stage 4-5] My Resolution
Currently, all the magical devices installed on the walls surrounding Encartón were created by Dude Luludahn.
Their performance has been proven by past achievements, having successfully prevented numerous attacks by external monsters.
In fact, there had been no damage caused by monsters in the past decade or so.
That’s why complacency began to set in.

This became the last communication record of Squad 10, serving as the report of the magic dragon’s attack.

“D-Don’t mess with me! I don’t want to die yet!”
“Me neither! Get out of my way!”
“Everyone, please calm down! Follow the guidance to the underground shelter!”
“There’s plenty of room in the underground shelter! So please, don’t push, don’t panic, just proceed calmly!”
The moment the alarm sounded, people began fleeing in a rush while the town’s security guards tried to guide the evacuation.

I grabbed Karen’s hand and dashed towards the hotel where Mashiro and the others were staying.
If the magic dragon appeared in the town, someone would have to repel it.
As luck would have it, we had members gathered who might be capable of doing so.
It would have been fine to choose to evacuate to the underground shelter.
In any case, confirming everyone’s safety was the top priority.
“I never thought we’d end up fighting such a monster before Flone…”

For the sake of my prosthetic arm too, we can’t let Encartón be destroyed.

All three of them seemed ready for battle, dressed in clothes that were easy to move in and covered their skin.

I can’t use my right arm in this situation either.
Cooperating to face this threat together is probably the best strategy.
With our course of action decided, we headed towards the Luludahn Workshop, where Mr. Dude was likely to be, using back alleys to avoid the magic dragon’s line of sight.

The magic dragon had already crossed the fortress and entered Encartón.
Encartón’s anti-monster magical devices are placed on the fortress.
If we could lure it towards the fortress, we might buy some time and ensure safer evacuation for residents, but if we provoke the magic dragon and it destroys the fortress, we’ll lose our means to deal with outside monsters.
We have magical tools against the magic dragon. But… it’s been proven in the past that those can’t defeat it.
For now, all we can do is strengthen our defenses and prioritize the evacuation of residents.

“My fighting force. These five will head out to defeat the magic dragon.”
Murmurs spread at the Boy’s statement.
It was a declaration that made everyone question his sanity.
“…Are you serious? The magic dragon is an opponent that the Kingdom of Rondism’s holy knight order can barely match even when fully deployed.”
“Of course I know that. But for me, there’s no future unless we defeat that beast.”
Saying this, Ouga Vellet tapped his right arm.
