In contrast, of the six who had been held captive, all except the helmswoman Munan were glaring at their captors.
“You guys…just what are you planning?! I heard you indiscriminately attacked cargo ships!”
Captain Marieda stepped forward and shouted at them angrily.
But they ignored her.
“Hey transporter. The fact that you took down the guys we sent after you means you’ve got some skill, right?”
The muscular man came forward.
“Wait…wait! Listen to me…!”
“I’m Doug Lambkins. How about we have a match, transporter?”
The muscular man Doug ignored Marieda’s existence and took a fighting stance.
I sighed and motioned for Marieda to step back, then asked something I wanted to know.
“There’s one thing I want to ask. Who was it that rammed this ship into my ship?”
Doug grinned and replied,
“Me.”
He admitted to being the one who destroyed my ship.
“Good skills. You could probably be valuable in the military.”
“Of course! That’s why I was so pissed about being under that runt’s command!”
Doug glared at Munan behind me.
Trembling, Munan hid behind Marieda.
Honestly, I did find it strange that someone with the skill to ram my ship into this one wasn’t chosen to lead.
“But there’s no doubt you destroyed my ship.”
I holstered my stun gun and loosely took a fighting stance.
“You lot, don’t interfere,” Doug told the three behind him.
As soon as he stepped forward and dashed to close the distance, he threw a left hook at my face.
Luckily I was able to duck under it and counter with a right hook aimed at his left side.
But Doug blocked it with his left arm and leg. As he dropped his leg, he stepped in and threw a straight right.
The distance was too close, so I had no choice but to cross-block it with both arms.
This created an opening, giving us a chance to reset.
Doug understood this as well and started rotating his shoulders.
“You’re not bad. Hard to believe you’re just a transporter.”
“I come across rough work from time to time.”
After loosening up a bit, I slowly raised my fists again.
“I see. But it’s a shame. I had the highest hand-to-hand combat scores in my grade!”
Doug dashed in faster than before and swung a massive right straight at me.
I casually evaded it and fired a stun round point-blank into his temple.
As expected, putting a tranquilizer directly into the head works well.
“H-How cowardly!”
“Yeah! Pulling a gun like that!”
The fat man and small man complained to me.
They probably didn’t expect their friend to lose.
“There’s no such thing as cowardly in an actual fight. His lack of caution is his own fault.”
“Damn it!”
Realizing their disadvantage, the fat and small men turned to flee.
I neatly put a stun round into the back of each of their heads.
Then I turned my gaze to the slender man, who had remained still the entire time.
“Didn’t feel like helping them?”
“I have no desire to aid deserters.”
The slender man slowly came forward, pulling out his gun from its holster and starting to twirl it around.
“More than that, I could tell you’re the same as me. You’re a gunfighter.”
The man stopped twirling his gun and leveled it at me.
“A Dracoon Bite, huh? Not really a gun a student should be choosing as a hobby.”
Hearing my comment, the man smiled happily.
“A Cortes Arms cartridge-fed revolver blaster. Alias ‘Dracoon Bite’. You really do understand the appeal, which means you’re one of my kind.”
He gazed lovingly at his gun before starting to twirl it again.
“I’m Legska Nalngan. How about we gunfighters have a quick-draw duel?”
Legska took his position opposite me and reholstered his gun.
“Understood.”
The moment I said that, I put a stun round square between his eyes.
He collapsed backwards into the same stance.
“Wha…What?! Weren’t you going to have a quick-draw duel?”
Marieda asked in surprise
as I started restraining the fallen men.
The other five were muttering something too, but I ignored them.
Still, why is it that anyone with a Dracoon Bite just has to do all those annoying gun twirling actions?
There are some others in the same business who all do it too. It’s so irritating.
After tying up the four, all that was left were the two on the bridge and the students who still hadn’t appeared.
They might all be on the bridge. Or if they don’t show up, so be it.
Finally reaching the bridge entrance, I checked my remaining ammunition.
The students had weapons in their hands now too, though I’m not sure when that happened.
“Let’s go.”
I approached the door.
As it opened, I heard:
“You’re late. Did you secure the cargo?”
“Those are my jewels, so don’t you dare steal them!”
It was the voice of the brat leader, Delnov Mustag.
With his back to us, he was seated in the captain’s chair fondling some woman.
“Sorry, but I don’t recall loading anything like that aboard.”
As I said that, I kicked his chair to spin it around, aiming my gun at him.
Though I was wary that they’d be armed too, they were completely defenseless.
“Wh-Why are you here?!”
“Who are you?!”
The two cried out, caught off guard.
“I’ve captured all your little friends. You’d better give up.”
I calmly advised them, but those behind me didn’t stay calm.
“Mustag!”
Marieda yelled out, swinging a titanium pipe down hard at Delnov and the woman.
“Uwaaah!”
Delnov and the woman barely dodged
as the pipe hit the captain’s chair with a loud clang, denting the metal.

“Don’t you run away, you scum!”
“Hiiee!”
Marieda gave chase with a demonic look on her face as Delnov fled.
“Save meee! This woman’s going to kill me!”
Desperately evading Marieda’s pipe swings, Delnov pleaded for me to stop her.
“Tell me why you hijacked the ship and committed acts of piracy, and I’ll stop her.”
“I hijacked it because it’s ridiculous that I, the commander’s son, couldn’t become captain! As for attacking ships, it was partly for pocket money, but also because Pamela wanted the cargo! There, I talked! Now stop this woman!”
Delnov begged as he kept running.
“Miss Marieda, killing him is meaningless.”
Seeing she might actually kill Delnov, I warned her.
“Yes…that’s right…”
Marieda stopped attacking, her breathing ragged.
At the same time, I pulled the trigger toward another entrance.
The needle bullets hit the wall, making a metallic sound.
“Hih!”
“Where do you think you’re going, miss?”
Reacting to that, the gunner Helen grabbed Pamela.
“I’m the daughter of Republican Councilor Richelde-Diego! Do you think you can get away with treating me like this?”
Despite being restrained, Pamela did not stop her arrogant attitude and tone.
The reason seemed to be because her parent was a councilor, but I decided to question her anyway.
“So what’s going to happen?”
“It’s obvious, isn’t it? I’ll ask Father to execute you immediately!”
“What about attacking the ship and killing the crew?”
“Father will cover it up for me. He’s done it many times before. Ah, I could even say they did it.”
She smirked as she looked at Marieda and the others.
At those words, a murderous intent emanated from Marieda and the others.
“Are you serious about that?”
“Of course! Now release me at once if you understand.”
Oblivious to the murderous intent, Pamela ordered me to release her.
Then Delnov, who had been listening to Pamela’s story, made a proposal to me that went along with her idea.
“That’s right! I’ll even give you a share of the cargo we’ve acquired so far! So get rid of these guys!”
He made me a proposal to go along with Pamela’s.
Furthermore, he seemed to think my needler gun was for lethal use.
“Are you telling me to kill them?”
“You can have some fun with the girl first if you want.”
“I see.”
Seeing me raise my gun, Delnov looked pleased.
But of course.
My sights were set squarely on his forehead.
“Hey…wait…I’m the son of Alvanse-Mustag, the Eastern Front Commander of the Galactic Republic Defense Force? You’ll definitely have a better time if you listen to my orders!”
Delnov desperately tried to persuade me.
“I have no intention of joining the military.”
Saying that, I pulled the trigger.
The bullet hit the wall right next to Delnov’s head, causing him to pass out and wet himself.
Seeing that, Pamela, judging that I would not go along with her, suddenly addressed me.
“Hey you, help me. If you help me, I’ll even go on a date with you. A delivery guy like you probably has no experience with women at all, right?”
She seemed to think she was negotiating, but she was too stupid.
I walked over to Pamela.
She must have thought I was going to help her, as she said,
“Go on, release me at once!”
She ordered Helen irritably.
I pressed my gun against Pamela’s forehead.
“Sorry, but I’m not lacking for women.”
I transformed into a woman.
“A Sumerian…”
Another male student, Johan, muttered under his breath.
Realizing she could not be used as a bargaining chip, and struck by fear of the gun pointed at her, she began to tremble.
“W-Wait…I’m the daughter of a Republican Councilor…”
“I know.”
As she tried to bargain or give orders again, having heard enough, I pulled the trigger.
Struck in the forehead by a tranquilizer needle, Pamela lost consciousness.
“Well, that’s one thing settled.”
“Shaun san…you were a Sumerian…”
As I holstered the needler gun, Marieda spoke up.
“Does it bother you?”
“No, I was just a bit surprised…”
Though she said that, the look on her face betrayed her displeasure peeking through.
Well, there were those who showed aversion to me even back in middle school, so it’s nothing new.
“I’m going to go rescue the people being held captive!”
Marieda left, leaving just the two of us behind on the bridge, as if to hide her reaction.
“Still, the GCPO sure is slow…”
Letting out a sigh, I took a seat at the communications operator’s station.
