Koyuki regretted knowing these feelings if it meant going through such pain.
And then, a miracle happened.
Koyuki found herself back a little before she met him.
Back in the spring break of her first year of high school.
She didn’t understand what was happening.
She was stunned.
She had no idea what was going on.
She couldn’t think straight that day and spent the whole time lying on her bed.
After a night, she somehow understood that she had returned to the past.
[What should I do now?]
The moment she regretted knowing human warmth, time rewound.
Perhaps God granted Koyuki’s wish, but it seemed there was a mistake since, unfortunately, her memories remained.
The days spent with Haruki were vividly etched in her mind.
(If I can’t forget this, it’s meaningless.)
She was still gloomy the next day, but a devilish thought crossed her mind.
(If Haruki and Machigane don’t date… I should date Haruki first.)
She knew it was a terrible thought.
She didn’t know the details of their situation in university, but Haruki and Lily seemed like a perfect couple.
They would probably get married and build a happy family after graduation.
But that was a potential future.
If she acted now, it might be her by Haruki’s side instead of Lily.
She might be able to fill this unbearable hunger.
Once she thought that, she couldn’t stop.
[This time, I’ll have all his love to myself.]
Despite knowing she was ruining someone else’s happiness, she wished for her own happiness.
She held back the first time, so she deserved the second.
With that excuse, Koyuki shifted from trying to forget Haruki to wanting to date him.
Starting from when Haruki helped her with her tasks as before,
she launched a passionate attack, stopping just short of scaring him away, and their relationship deepened faster than the first time.
[Koyuki-senpai]
He called her by her first name within a month,
whereas it had taken until after summer break the first time.
A seemingly smooth romance.
But Koyuki couldn’t shake off her anxiety.
It was because of Machigane Lily, her junior.
Haruki seemed unusually concerned about Lily.
Almost unnaturally so.
She had heard that when Lily entered school, she had been saved from a stalker by Haruki.
He wouldn’t have been able to help if he hadn’t known about the stalking beforehand.
So, she thought he was worried because he knew about the stalking.
But even after the stalking incident was resolved, Haruki’s eyes still followed Lily.
She couldn’t help but be anxious.
Undoubtedly, something happened between them after the incident, and Haruki was conscious of Lily.
If she became a rival in love, she might lose again.
Fearing this, Koyuki tried to keep Lily away from Haruki and intimidated her.
“How pathetic I am.”
Even though she was ready to steal someone else’s happiness, she didn’t have the courage to confront her directly.
She felt miserably pathetic.
But she couldn’t stop once she started.
She maneuvered to keep Haruki and Lily from interacting, buying time, and increasing her presence in Haruki’s mind.
Then the future would surely change.
Haruki would choose her.
She wouldn’t be hungry this time.
She would be happy.
“Let’s go buy some juice.”
To dispel her anxiety, Koyuki decided to prepare a reward for her cute juniors, for the adorable juniors to take her mind off her worries.
It’s a good thing they’re here to help, so much that the work was nearly done.
“Excuse me, I’m stepping out for a bit.”
“Got it.”

Koyuki informed the nearby students and left the field.
She retrieved her wallet from the student council room and headed to the vending machine in front of the cafeteria.
Clunk, clunk.
(Let’s see, Minazuki-kun wants grape juice, and Machigane-san wants milk tea.)
“What are you doing when the work isn’t finished yet?”
Relying on her memory, she was buying drinks for her juniors when a voice called out to her from the side.
A familiar voice.
But one that Koyuki would rather not hear.
She could tell who it was without looking, simply because she wasn’t fond of the person.
“…President.”
Sure enough, when she confirmed the face, there was Takumi, frowning in displeasure.
To be honest, he was scary.
They had known each other since childhood, so couldn’t he treat her a bit more kindly, like Haruki and Saito did with their childhood friends?
But that was a hopeless wish.
Because Takumi had always been strict with Koyuki.
The reason was probably because they were alike.
Both were expected to carry the weight of their respective groups in the future, and Takumi couldn’t tolerate someone like him being inferior.
Every time she made even a small mistake, he would harshly criticize her.
It was no wonder she found him difficult.
Yet, she hadn’t always disliked him.
What he said was always on point, and while she was frustrated, she could understand his perspective.
However, his attitude had changed for the worse, and now he was colder and more unreasonable. For that reason, Koyuki disliked Takumi.
“This is because the juniors came to help, so I thought I would thank them since we managed to set up all the tents before curfew.”
“Oh. So, you’re not buying anything for the others? The tent setup wasn’t done only by the juniors. It was possible because of the cooperation of the original members. They deserve rewards too.”
“That’s… true.”
“You should be able to figure that out if you think about it for a bit. Don’t give those drinks to the juniors. It will definitely cause dissatisfaction.”
“…Yes.”
Expecting yet another lecture, Koyuki tried to explain herself desperately, but it only highlighted her inexperience, leading to more criticism.
This was undoubtedly her mistake.
So, she accepted it and reflected on it, but still, the idea of not giving anything to the juniors who helped seemed rude to her.
“A job well done deserves a fitting reward.”
“You must return the favor received.”
These were words Takumi himself had said in the past.
His current stance contradicted his past words.
Which words were correct?
When she thought about it, Koyuki was sure the former words of Takumi were right.
“Then, I’ll buy drinks for everyone.”
If she bought drinks for everyone, the problem would be solved.
Fortunately, Koyuki had the financial means to do so.
She decided to go the extra mile for her juniors.
When she declared she would buy drinks for everyone, Takumi’s face twisted in utter contempt.
“You’re such an idiot.”
Leaving those scornful words behind, he bought tea and left.
(What an unpleasant person till the very end.)
Watching Takumi walk away, Koyuki muttered to herself, then took out a bundle of 1,000 yen notes from her wallet and bought drinks for everyone.
One minute later.
“…I’ve done it.”
Staring at the large number of drinks, Koyuki held her head in her hands.
Why hadn’t she realized when Takumi called her an “idiot”?
Even though she could buy many drinks, she couldn’t carry them all by herself.
It was a clear manifestation of Koyuki’s bad habit.
She had always been like this.
Once she got determined, she couldn’t back down.
Even though she realized midway that she wouldn’t be able to carry them, she couldn’t stop after declaring it to Takumi, and now she had a bench full of drinks.
(What should I do?)
“Hey, Shirayuri, what are you doing here?”
“Wow, so many drinks. Can I have one?”
Lost in her thoughts, she was approached by her seniors from the student council.
How embarrassing to be seen like this.
“Nonohara-senpai, Kawada-senpai. Please, help yourselves. I’m having a bit of trouble here and would appreciate it if you could take some.”
With a dry laugh, Koyuki explained the situation, and the two had different reactions.
“It’s rare to see Shirayuri in such a state.”
One was surprised, his eyes wide.
