Chapter 3:The White Knight

Power surges through my body.
The pain from my injuries just moments ago has now vanished.
“What… what is that form?”
I see the monster Axe backing away at the sight of me, but I’m even more surprised by my own appearance.
“W-what is this!? My form has changed…! And there are three horns!”
I touch my head with both hands, checking my body.
A black undersuit with white armor attached externally.
The transformed Shiro is embedded in the belt buckle, making it clear that my current form is far from normal.
“But with this, I can do it!!”
Though I don’t fully understand what’s happening, I know I can fight in this form.
As I voice this to reassure myself, the confused monster who called himself Axe charges at me, trembling with anger.
“You shouldn’t be able to fight without your memories!!”
“Hah!!”
I take a light step and thrust out my fist.
The strike, delivered before the enemy’s fist can reach me, successfully lands on the monster’s chest, making him stagger backward.

“You bastard, you’ve had your way with me long enough!!”
With uncharacteristically rough language, my arms move naturally, delivering a series of punches to the monster.
“Ugh!?”
A dull impact travels through my fists.

Sparks fly from my chest armor as I’m blown backward.
I roll on the ground, then get up and check my chest area, but apart from the damaged armor, I’m fine.
My punches aren’t working!?

I heard the mysterious voice again.
I look around reflexively at the voice I thought was just my imagination, but of course, there’s no one else here besides me and the monster.

The monster has somehow produced a sword-like weapon that resembles a chainsaw.
“Huh? What kind of weapon is that!?”
“I’m going to slice you to pieces with this!”
I can’t let something that dangerous hit me!!
I hurriedly avoid the monster’s attacks as the swings the high-speed rotating blade recklessly, and manage to land a desperate kick on his back.
“Gah!?”
“Eh?”
With a cracking sound of parts breaking, the monster is sent flying.
the monster flies in an arc about 10 meters before slamming into the ground, groaning in pain.
“That power just now…”
I look at the foot that kicked the monster.
It clearly had much more power than when I punched the monster.

“My… weapon?”
Hearing the voice echoing in my head, I slightly raise my foot and notice that only the right foot looks a bit different in design.
There’s just a change in the exhaust port-like parts on the shin and heel, but I understand that this white form is stronger in leg power.

I regulate my breathing as I watch light gathering in the barrel of what looks like a cannon on its shoulder.

I switch my mindset, focusing my consciousness on the battle before me.
An energy blast is fired from the barrel with a flash of light, cutting through the air as it approaches.
I slash it down with the dagger and dodge, preparing to counterattack the monster.
“Gaaah!!”
“I’ll do it…!!”
Remember the situation when this guy grabbed you.
—Eliminate waste
I avoid the outstretched arm and lightly deflect the cord with my hand.
I take one step back to create distance and gauge the opponent’s reach.
—Sharpen your senses
I slightly sway my body to avoid being grabbed.
I lightly punch the monster’s face to obstruct its vision as it gets worked up.
—Chip away fighting spirit
As we pass each other, I slash its side with the dagger, then use the back of the blade to slice the shoulder cannon in half, destroying it.
—Land your attacks precisely
I follow up with a spinning dagger strike, sending sparks flying from its parts. As it flinches, I deliver a powerful side kick.

Slammed into the ground, the monster groans but manages to stand up. With a mechanical grinding noise, it prepares to unleash some kind of technique.
“I’ll crush you with a gravity bullet!!”
the monster arm unfolds like it’s disassembling, revealing a silver mechanical gun.
I hold my breath as I see a black, vortex-like substance being generated from the barrel.
